Taipei Library Mandarin Resources

Filed under: Uncategorized — ktetaichinh @ 9:38 am

There are thousands of online resources for learning Mandarin Chinese. It’s great that Mandarin students have so much choice, but too much choice can be overwhelming.

That’s why I’m here – to guide you to good material! My preferences are for free resources. There are plenty of good-quality commercial programs, ranging in price from the reasonable to the ridiculous, but there are also lots of free websites that can be very useful for anyone learning Mandarin Chinese.

Number one on my list, of course, is my own site. I’m adding to it all the time, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know, either by email or leave a comment below.

Another good site is the Taipei Public Library. They have online material for Mandarin students ranging from Learn to Speak Mandarin with 1000 words to Nursery Rhymes for Children.

Some material can be downloaded for offline use, and includes audio and texts in Chinese characters, Pinyin Romanization and ZhuYin phonetics.
